PITT innovates kitchen design

DE MEERN – Twelve years ago PITT cooking Nederland devised an innovative concept for the tradional gas hob. Design, ease of use and a robust appearance were the USPs of their patented and self-designed hobs. These are handmade and subsequently integrated into a work top. After six very successful years in the Netherlands, the foreign market was explored. That proved a hit. These days international demand for the unique PITT-concept has grown exponentially.

Because of this the production doubled as well as the office space and man power. Maarten Lueks was appointed as operational manager to facilitate growth and professionalise operations. “Especially the foreign market has an enormous variety in rules and regulations, types of gas connections, quality marks , models and for instance the languages in which information is provided”, says Maarten.

From hand made to fully automated

“Every product needs specific labels and that took an employee days”, says Maarten. “The work is complex, as there are more than 2000 different versions. That is why we were looking for a company that can generate labels and connect them with the sales and work orders of our ERP administration system Exact Online. Software company Acconet proved to be that company.”

Nothing but praise for Acconet

“In a very short time we were able to switch to a fully automated labelling process. The 2000 labels have been reduced to 12 templates. The system is 100 % correct and fully accurate. The article, the right gas type, the language and the specific country quality mark roll out of the machine after the order has been scanned and are printed onto the label. In addition, it is a very user friendly system. An alteration is entered centrally into the template or in the central database.”

“Production was pleased with the system from day one. Speaking from experience, I can say this is the exception rather than the rule. I think it is to do with the ownership the system provides in addition to the accuracy and the user friendliness.”

“The Acconet method of operation pleased me. They started by mapping the work flow like architects. This we translated into requirements and conditions. Acconet has construed their product T-Box in such a way that the entire business process works together in one administration. We were given an estimate beforehand. Results were yielded on time and we were well supported during the implementation. Perhaps we will make use of Acconet’s services again in the future. Everything works well and is simple to operate.”
